Emergency Food Grant Opportunity
Feeding America San Diego understands that times are tough and the demand for pantries and soup kitchens is on the rise.
The Emergency Food Grant program seeks to increase access points to food by clients in areas that are unserved or underserved due to a direct result of lack of food bank resources, local community support and agency resources. This grant will also support agencies that are experiencing financial hardship. The focus of the EFG program specific to this grant is to target unserved and underserved areas in each food bank service area. As part of the grant reporting process you will be asked to demonstrate how the EFG has significantly increased distribution in the underserved and unserved counties in your service area. In-kind Funds(food credit) can be used for delivery fees, purchased and donated product, and may also cover partial debt.
